ORIGINS OF AYURVEDIC ABHYANGA MASSAGE

Abhyanga Ayurvedic massage is a massage derived from Indian medicine, Ayurveda. Considered sacred, this medicine aims to reconcile the body and mind, to rebalance energy .

In India, it is a tradition for children, from the age of 6, to massage their family members!

It is primarily a holistic approach that considers the person as a whole rather than in a fragmented way. The physical, mental, emotional, familial, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions are therefore taken into consideration.

THE BENEFITS OF AYURVEDIC ABHYANGA MASSAGE

To allow the energy to circulate freely and harmoniously , we will work on the nadis which are the energy channels of our body linked to the 7 chakras. This allows a rebalancing of the energy. During the massage, we will therefore perform elimination maneuvers followed by nadi recharge maneuvers (renewal of your energy).

It is a gentle, enveloping massage of the entire body.

The program includes: wringing, (light) squeezing, kneading, smoothing, acupressure points, drainage, and active brushing, alternating between slow and faster movements. All of this promotes well-being, both physically and mentally.

In addition to the usual benefits of a massage (anti-stress, improved blood circulation, etc.), Abhyanga massage has the advantage of being a rebalancing treatment .

CHOOSE YOUR AYURVEDIC OIL ACCORDING TO YOUR DOSHA

To help you choose your Ayurvedic oil, it is necessary to know your dominant “ dosha ”.

Each dosha represents a typical profile that corresponds to your Ayurvedic constitution.

There are three of them:

PITTA

The Pitta individual presents a determined, persistent, ambitious and courageous type profile, but can become critical and angry.

You like to set goals and achieve them.

Physically, you are quite strong with more significant musculature.

Your skin is easily colored and your gaze is intense.

You have a strong personality and beautiful vital energy.

VATA

You have a creative, enthusiastic, and inventive personality, but you sometimes have feelings of insecurity, anxiety, and fear.

You tend to be chilly and tired during the colder months.

Physically, you are fine and delicate, rather underdeveloped, slim with visible bone structure and long limbs.

KAPHA

Le profil Kapha est stable et endurant.

Vous êtes une personne accueillante, empathique, compréhensive, lente et réticente au changement.

Physiquement, vous êtes solides, avec une ossature épaisse.
